This is an Appeal against the decision of an Academic Irregularities Panel.  This is not the same as an Academic Appeal

APROVED PRIOR LEARNING (APL)

Approved Prior Learning (APL) may allow students exemptions from some modules or module requirements.  In some cases this can allow direct entry into Year 2 of the course.  Please read the APL policy document for full details

ASSESSMENT

Our assessment practice uses grades. A key benefit of grade-based assessment (GBA) is that grades and associated descriptors help you to track your development on each module as well as monitor overall progress on the journey to your award.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Students are expected to attend each taught online weekly session and each day of the Study Weeks/Clinical Training Prorgams (when part of the course).

 

Study Week and Clinical Training Progam attendance is compulsory when these elements form part of the course.  The PGDip/PGCert will not be awarded if full attendance has not been achieved.

A Notification of Extenuating Circumstances (NEC) application allows you to inform us that your academic performance has been affected by circumstances beyond your control.

REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION (R4R)

You may submit a Request for Reconsideration (R4R) following the notification of your results after a Board of Examiners Meeting. You may not submit an R4R before the Board of Examiners has met.

WITHDRAWALS & TRANSFERS

If you choose not to take a Student Leave of Absence you may withdraw from your  course at any time, subject to tuition fee charges.  Transfers are accepted wittin the first 10 weeks.
